Child Development

All children registered with the practice are encouraged to attend for assessment of their development. In general the health visitor, who is based in the practice, carries this out.

Health Visitor Clinics run every Friday from 1:30pm -3pm and do not require an appointment.  Please check into reception on arrival but be aware that, depending on how busy it is, you may have a wait.

Immunisation clinics also run every Friday from2-2:45pm but are by appointment only.  Child Health will contact you when your child is due.  On receipt of your letter from Child Health, please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment time.

There is an opportunity to meet with other parents with children of similar ages during the clinic. Please note that this is NOT a time to bring your ill child to see the doctor without an appointment as it is essential not to risk passing on illnesses to other small children. We are of course happy to see your child urgently at other times during the day

If you’re not sure whether you or your child have had all your routine vaccinations, enquire at reception.
