I qualified as a registered general nurse in Aberdeen in 1987 where I spent 10 years working in various hospital wards before moving to Edinburgh.  Again, I worked in various hospital placements, including 4 years as charge nurse in a busy radiology unit.  In late 2010 I moved to Newcastle with my husband and two children.  I was eager to learn new skills and gain fresh experiences in primary care, and I was delighted to start in the practice in March 2011.

I have found the transition from hospital nurse to practice nurse extremely interesting and serving the community in Jesmond has been most rewarding.

In my time off I enjoy going to the gym and playing tennis.
